I hate Mondays! They're the worst, aren't they? The start of another long week, the farthest away from next weekend as you can get! We had a pretty good weekend. Chris woke up early on Saturday morning and got his Jeep smogged (it passed! that's always a plus!), and then replaced the motor of the passenger side window of one of our other cars... now I can roll it up and down again! What a handy guy he is! After that was all done, we headed out to my Mom's for pretty much the rest of the day. We went to Sam's Club to get diapers and then I split my toe open! Oh what? Yea that's right, I split my toe open by dropping one of those 40 pound plastic tubs of cat litter onto it. So that was fun. It's still Band-Aided up because frankly it looks absolutely disgusting and I'm scared of leaving it out in the open. It's missing a bunch of skin and it's got some dried blood all on it... I'm hoping I don't lose the toe nail just in time for Summer. Aren't you glad you read this? I'll move on.
Sunday morning we woke up and went to Chris' brother's/SIL's place. It was their Easter (they're Orthodox) so we got together to watch their boys hunt for some eggs in the backyard, then we had some breakfast. Then I decided I hadn't messed myself up enough for one weekend, so I decided to sneak in chipping my front tooth last night. I figured it'd be a good way to wrap it all up.
That brings me to today...
It was 92 degrees! Gotta love
Summer Spring time in Sacramento. Or actually you don't. It wasn't too bad in the early parts of the day, but I think around 2:00 our house pooped out and gave in to the heat. Me being my cheap self did not give in to the AC screaming my name. How could I call myself my mother's daughter if I turned the AC on for anything less than 105 degrees?? I told Chris I'm turning it on tomorrow if it was anything like today. I feel like such a wimp. Don't I know it's bound to get another 20 degrees hotter here in the next few months?
So even though Braden got a bath last night, we decided to fill the tub with a few inches of water and let him splash around in some cool water before bed time. Of course my brain turned off in the midst of all the heat, so I didn't take any pictures.
BUT, here are some pictures of the last few days all rolled into one post!
At his cousin's t-ball game.

Trying on his new swim trunks, getting ready for the heat!

With his cousins on their Easter. He's trying to eat their candy for them.
It's pretty hard getting 3 boys to pay attention at the same time.

Who needs to buy toys? These are his favorites!
Mr. Empty Water Bottle!

and Mr. Fireplace Safety Guard!

Eh. At least they're real.
We are over 100 here in San Diego so 92 sound pretty good right about now LOL. Your little guy is a cutie. Try to stay cool in April while it feels like August.
ReplyDeleteDude, okay I am not okay with the pictures of my nephew being held by his OTHER aunt. He is going to love her more than me, and that is not fair. SHE MARRIED IN. I HAD TO WORK HARD TO DEAL WITH YOU FOR 24 YEARS SO THAT I COULD GET A NEPHEW, FFS.
ReplyDeleteYou've got to love those random 92+ degree days - but at least y'all get the Delta breeze and it cools down most nights. Out here it's been in the mid 80s, but with the humidity, it NEVER EVER cools down and it feels way hotter than Sacramento ever feels to me in the Spring.
I can't wait to go swimming with the little man this summer. I'm trying to get things sorted out so I can get my ticket already.
And, really? Are you trying to go for a fucked up toe to go with your fucked up finger?
I love you, princess sister dear. You light up my fucking life.
Oh, is it okay if i swear on here? Cause I'll try not to if it's a no-no for you libbys. <3
